Autumn

As Summer has now drawn to a close and Autumn has set in I have put together a few seasonal items

I have chosen pieces that echo, warm Autumn tones such as this vintage inspired butterfly cameo brooch. You can also find this pattern on matching items such as cufflinks, earrings and rings.

 

 Sepia tone flower buttons... A lovely addition to a seasonal garment or textile.

A quirky vintage inspired luggage tag complete with stitched detail edging. Threaded with ribbon making it a lovely addition hanging in your home.

Country Living Magazine Christmas Fairs and Spirit of Christmas Fair 2013

My favourite magazine has just dropped through the letter box and I have just spotted one of my lace snowflake decorations on one of the pages about the Country Living Christmas Fairs.

 

I will be at all three fair's this year,

 

London 30th October - 3rd November, at the Business Design Centre

Glasgow 21st - 24th November, at the SECC

Harrogate 28th November - 1st December, at the HIC

C-ART 2013

Once again this September is the C-Art Open Studios. It is Cumbria’s largest arts event, celebrating the breadth of contemporary and traditional visual art and craft found in the beautiful lake district and across Cumbria. It is on for two weeks in September and is jam packed with artist open studios, gallery open days, workshops, exhibitions and special events.

Artist studios and galleries open their doors to the public from 14th – 29th September 2013. It is a unique opportunity to meet artists, visit where they work and purchase their artwork directly from them.

To coincide with the two week trail Hesta Scene? are holding  C- Art demonstration days again this year. I will be there on Wednesday 18th September, 10am - 4pm making my ceramics and will have some of my pieces for sale. You can also join in and get involved if you wish.

Ideal Home Magazine feature, October issue, 2013

After a lovely couple of weeks away on holiday, I am thrilled to return and find one of my framed porcelain butterfly tiles in the current October issue of Ideal Home Magazine. You can find the frame on page 87 and a description about it and the other pieces on page 92.

Lanercost Priory Craft fair and Potfest in the Pens, Summer 2013

I have just finished Lanercost Priory Summer craft fair and Potfest in the Pens for another year. I had such a lovely time exhibiting my ceramics at both of these local events. Thank you to all that visited, and popped by my stand, it was lovely to meet you all.

Potfest celebrated its 20th birthday making it the oldest potters market in the U.K and we all had scrummy cake to celebrate it. It was also my birthday on the Sunday and decorated my pen with lovely cards received from a visit from my friends.
