My trip to the potteries

A couple of weeks ago I had a fantastic couple of days spent in Yorkshire and at the Potteries in Stoke on Trent. I was lucky enough to get booked in for a factory tour at Middleport pottery this time. It was great to see the journey of their pieces from the beginning and the many hands they pass to get to the final end pieces. So much time, work and skill goes into each of the pottery and it was lovely to meet the factory workers throughout the tour. A stop off at the Emma Bridgewater factory and then a morning at Gladstone museum. You can even have a go at throwing your own pot! Very interesting learning about the pottery history and also nice to see where they film the pottery throw down!
